These mags are italian made and should make Sig Sauer USA ashamed. These mags are half the price of factory mags, hold more rounds, have heavier springs, slick finish and polymer base pad that doesnt protrude beyond bottom of pistols grip. Mec-gar is the only brand mag a Sig owner should use if they know whats good for themself.

No need for Sig to be ashamed, since Mec-Gar makes the excellent Sig factory magazines.

Having both the factory Sig mags, and these aftermarket mags, I too can attest to their superior quality. The floorplates are easier on the hands after prolonged shooting, and these are easier to insert "closed-slides", with fully loaded mags. The factory Sig mags aren't "bad", but you'll immediately notice improvements.

It says this mag is for a p226 but my friend has a Sig P229 like mine and he bought 2 of them. He say's they fit the p229 9mm also.

This magazine is outstanding!! Flush fit and it fits three more rounds!! Love it
