Grade A Mags

The M1A magazines from Check Mate Industries are exactly the same as the magazines from Springfield Armory--at nearly half the cost. There are cheaper magazines available, but most "cheap" M1A mags are notorious for functionality problems. Spend the extra $$ and buy a CMI magazine. You will not be disappointed.

The rifle that was supposed to cure all the deficiencies of the M-1 Garand ended up being reborn because of unexpected circumstances. But all the accessories, like magazines, were nowhere to be found, having been discarded by an anti-gun President. Luckily Checkmate was available to join forces with the civilian rifle manufacturer. I have a half dozen of the 20 round GI size mags, and all have worked perfectly in my M1A. They have provided the key to giving the M14/M1A the chance it never got to show its stuff, and at a reasonable price. I have also bought a few 5 and 10 rounders for easier bench shooting, and they have the same quality as the GI 20's.

Check mate magazines are quality. These are the same as used by Active Duty Army. How do I know I looked at my US issued M14 magazines in our Arms room and they are made by Check mate industries.

Well finished, perfect fit and perfect function. I own 5 of these and they have all functioned perfectly. They seem better made than some oversees sourced mags I have. Cheaper than springfield mags.

I found the entire purchasing experience with check mate Ind to be easy and went without a hitch. I carried an m-14 in Vietnam. I'm familiar with milspec mags. My SOCOM 16 is my "go to" gun and as such I need to know it is going to fire every time. These CMI magazines help it to operate flawlessly. It is also a huge bonus that they are some of the more inexpensive M1A magazines and they are sold by a great company like 44MAG that ships them fast and for free!!!

These magazine are really the best you can get (aside from the SAI mags for double the price) at $27 delivered to your door, it cant be beat. I hope to ordering 6 more soon

Signed up for email alerts on 20rd magazines during the AWB crisis. Ordered 3 when I was alerted and the magazines were processed and shipped within a couple days. They only took a few days to travel from Oregon to Georgia and were CMI stamped. The cost of the magazines and the free shipping meant these magazines were faster and cheaper than ordering direct from the manufacturer.
